"Fission" splits a big nucleus of an element into pieces, making
nucleii of different elements that weren't there before.
"Fusion" mashes two little nuclei of an element into one, making
a nucleus of a different element that wasn't there before.
Both fission and fusion result in formation of new atoms of elements
