Justitification:

1) Property: 

[tex]a^{(1/b)} = \sqrt[b]{a} [/tex]

Therefore:

[tex]16^{1/4}= \sqrt[4]{16} [/tex]

2) 16 = 2⁴

3) Property

[tex] \sqrt[n]{a^n} =a^{n/n}=a[/tex]

Therefore:

[tex] \sqrt[4]{2^4} =2^{4/4}=2[/tex]
