Making History: China's First Human Spaceflight. A milestone in human history was reached on Oct. 15, 2003.
China launched it’s first manned satellite on October 15th, 2003. The satellite was called the Shenzhou 5. As a reference, China’s first satellite(unmanned), Dongfanghong I, was launched on April 24th, 1970.
