This is because if you simplify the equation at the left you should get

x-5 = x-5


(x - 5) ^ 3 is equal to (x-5) (x-5) (x-5)

Since it's a cube root you are looking for the same exact number, but in a group 3, there are 3 x - 5 that can form a group and go outside
