The volume of a square pyramid is equal to:
Volume = a^2 (h/3)

In order for us to get the height, we need to substitute the values.
Volume = a^2 (h/3)
960  = 12^2 (h/3)
960 = 144h/3
960 = 48h
h = 20 in.

So the height is equal to 20 inches.
