5x + 20 = 4x - 24
5x -4x + 20= 4x - 4x - 24
1x + 20 = -24
1x + 20 - 20 = -24 - 20
1x = -44

5 (-44 + 4) = 4 ( -44 - 6)
5 (-40) = 4 (-50)
