x + (x + 2) = 50

Combine like terms.

2x + 2 = 50

Subtract 2 from both sides.

2x = 48

Divide both sides by 2.

x = 24

Now that we have the value of x, we can find the value of the 2nd integer by adding 1 to the value of x.

24 + 1 = 25

The middle integer is equal to 25.
