What is the difference between a representation of a concept and an example? PLEASE HELP!!

when you represent a concept its like the same thing just you're thinking about it in a different way. and example is an elaboration of that.... like an add on. so an example of a representation would be the cup thing... it could be half empty or half full you could be an optimist or a pessimist depends on how you look at it.... see how I did that xb hope I helped
