A hyena can run 1/4 of a mile in 22.5 seconds. At this rate, which equation can be used to determine how fast a hyena runs in miles per hour?

So if it runs 1/4 of a mile in 22.5 seconds, we can work out that it runs 0.01111 miles in a second, therefore:

0.01111x60x60 = 40 miles per hour.
