If cos x = .34, what is sin x?

use the formula:
[tex] \sin^2 x + \cos^2 x = 1 [/tex]
[tex] \sin^2 x + (0.34)^2 = 1 [/tex]
[tex] \sin^2 x = 1-0.34^2 = 0.8844 [/tex]
[tex] \sin x =\pm 0.9404 [/tex]
