Multi ting a number is like adding the number that many times.

Repeated addition would be adding 3/4 to itself 4 times:

3/4 + 3/4 + 3/4 + 3/4 = 12/4 = 3

Then multiplication method:

3/4 x 4 = 12/4 = 3
