What helped me when i was doing jury duty for a man who stole 3 packs of toilet paper from a local walmart is i tried putting myself in his shoes and thinking of the reasons he would have needed/ wanted that toilet paper. Maybe his family was in desperate need you never know someone intentions behind something. Hope this helped :)
