3x + 2y = 14....multiply by 2
2x - 4y = 4
----------------
6x + 4y = 28 (result of multiplying by 2)
2x - 4y = 4
----------------add
8x = 32
x = 32/8
x = 4

2x - 4y = 4
2(4) - 4y = 4
8 - 4y = 4
-4y = 4 - 8
-4y = -4
y = -4/-4
y = 1

solution is (4,1)
