Make the fractions improper. You will now have 47/6 - 50/9. Now find the common denominator by multiplying both the denominators together. Don't forget to do the same thing to your numerator. You will now have 423/54 - 300/54. Your answer is 123/54. Simplify. Your final answer is 2 15/54.
