if I am not mistaken
2x – 3 > 11 – 5x

Add 5x to both sides
2x - 3 + 5x > 11 - 5x + 5x

Simplify
7x - 3 > 11

Add 3 to both sides
7x - 3  +3 > 11 + 3

Simplify
7x > 14

Divide both sides by 7
7x/7 > 14/7

Simplify
x > 2
