A circular plate has a circumference of 37.7cm. Calculate the diameter of the plate.

Circumference of circle = 2πr

Putting values ::-

37.7 = 2 × 3.14 × r

r = 37.7 ÷ 6.28

r = 6.003 (approx)

therefore,

d = r × 2 = 6.003 × 2

d = 12.006

.·. Diameter of plate ≈ 12 cm.
