After filling a gas tank the odometer read 39.007.2 after the next filling it read 39.469.2 it took 17.5 gal to fill the tank, how many miles per gallon did the driver get ?

(39,469.2 - 39,007.2)/17.5 will give you miles per gallon
The total miles driven were 462 miles/17.5 gal = 26.4 miles per gallon
