Hi!

30 = x

f(x) = -1/5x - 14 find x when f (x) = -8

Set the equation equal to -8

-8 = -1/5x - 14

Add 14 to both sides.

6 = -1/5x

Multiply both sides by -5.

30 = x

Hope this helps! :D
