Three added to 8 times a number is the same as 3 times the value of 2 times the number minus one

Let, the number = x
It would be: 8x + 3 = 3(2x-1)
8x + 3 = 6x - 3
8x - 6x = -3 - 3
2x = -6
x = -6/2
x = -3

In short, Your Answer & that number would be -3
