Plug in the numbers for x, and y in the equation.
x=-3, y= 11

x-3y=16
-3 -3(11)=16
-3 -33=16
-36=16 the point (-3,11) is not the solution.

3x+4y=48
3(-3) + 4(11)=48
-9 + 44= 48
35=48 The point (-3,11) is not the solution.
