Let's factor out first. 2(-5x+4)+4x-5 = -10x+8+4x-5. If we combine like terms, -10x+8+4x-5 is -6x+3. Now our equation looks like this:

-6x+3 = -3.

If we move over the 3 on the left to the right side, we have -6x = -6. Divide both sides by -6, and we get our answer.

x = 1

Hope this helped!
