Mary has two bags of nuts, one with 60% peanuts and the other with 12% peanuts. To make a 5 lb bag of 44%, how much of each should Mary use?

peanuts + peanuts = peanuts

0.60x + 0.35(8-x) = 0.50*8

60x + 35*8 - 35x = 50*8
