One log is 28 feet 7 inches long, and another is 39 feet 8 inches long. what is the sum of their lengths?

68 feet and 3 inches is the answer.

12 inches= 1 foot

hence, in 15 inches: 1 foot and 3 inches

67+1 feet and 3 inches= 68 feet and 3 inches
