Why would ideas about art and culture develop faster in the city than in the countryside

Is this multiple choice or not? If not I'd say it's because more people live within cities as well as being closer together so they're able to spread culture faster.

I would agree with the person above since there's more people in the city the word would get around faster and ideas would spread quicker
