Elle can buy 2 quarts of milk for $3 or 1 gallon of milk for $3. Which is the better deal? Explain.

The better deal is 1 gallon for 3 dollars. Why? It's because in a gallon of milk is 4 quarts. So why by 2 quarts for 3, instead of 4 quarts for 3.
