The amendment in the bill of
rights which provides that a person cannot be tried twice for the same crime is
the 5th amendment. The 5th amendment is also known as No
Double Jeopardy. This amendment in the Bill of Rights protects the accused of a
crime, and is given a guaranteed of due process of law.
