5x + y = 5.....multiply by -2
10x + 3y = 20

-10x - 2y = -10 (result of multiplying by -2)
10x + 3y = 20
-----------------add
y = 10

5x + y = 5
5x + 10 = 5
5x = 5 - 10
5x = -5
x = -5/5
x = -1

solution is (-1,10)
