In sunlight, a vertical stick 6ft tall casts a shadow 2 ft long. At the same time a nearby tree casts a shadow 14ft long. How tall is the tree?

6/2=3 so the stick is 3 times as tall as the shadow

so 14*3=42

the tree is 42 feet tall
