X+y/3 =5 solve for (x)

Given x+y/3=5, to make x the subject we proceed as follows;
x+y/3=5
subtract y/3 from both sides we get:
x+y/3-y/3=5-y/3
hence;
x=5-y/3
this can also be written as:
x=(15-y)/3
