I think Prose is an important element of language as it develops a readers vocabulary and experience of narrative. Prose is generally written to mimic the natural flow of speech and grammatical structure, it is different in this manner to poetry as poetry is formalized in rhythmic structures. Prose is structured purely grammatically as in sentences or paragraphs.
