The Renaissance was a rebirth of a greek and latin culture, however there were many new intellectual and artistic ideas that were characteristic of the renaissance. These intellectual ideas were Humanism, secularism, and individualism. The artistic ideas included using perspective, geometry, realism, use of portraits, and shadowing.
