What in the world is the Topo Challenge? How do you play?

I'm pretty sure the topo challenge is geocaching. Geocaching is where someone hides a trinket like a box or something similar, and you have to follow directions to find it. The directions usually tell you how many feet you walk until you turn left, etc. I hope this helps.
