You need to know these two formulas:

[tex]\huge a^b \times a^c = a^{b+c}\\\\\huge \frac{a^b}{a^c}=a^{b-c}[/tex]

For example,

[tex]5^2 \times 5^3 = 5^{2+3} = 5^5[/tex]

[tex] \frac{2^6}{2^4} = 2^{6-4} = 2^2[/tex]
