what is the solution of the following system 4x-y=15 3x+2y=-8

from the first equation we get

y=4x-15

put the value of y in the second equation

3x+2(4x-15)= -8
3x+8x-30= -8
11x=22
x=2

now put x=2 in any one eqn , say in first

4(2)-y=15
8-y=15
-y=7
y=-7
