That makes angles B and C congruent.
m<C = 47, so m<B = 47

m<B + m<C + m<BAC = 180

47 + 47 + m<BAC = 180

94 + m<BAC = 180

m<BAC = 86

m<BAD = (1/2)m<BAC = (1/2) * 86 = 43

y = 43

x + y + m<B = 180

x + 43 + 47 = 180

x + 90 = 180

x = 90
