The
golden age of Anthenian culture was said to be during the reign of Pericles. He was known as a great leader and played a
huge role in ending the Peloponnesian War. Under his rule, Athen’s government made
use of a direct democracy. He believed that every citizen must take part in
daily affairs in the government.
