The length of a rectangle is 2/5 its width and the perimeter is 280 inches, what are the length and width of the rectangle?

If the length is 2/5, or .40, then:

280/.40= 700

Check my answer:

.40*700= 280

The length is .40 (or 2/5) the width is 700.
