Mansa Musa was associated with the D)Mali Empire. It is said that Mansa Musa conquered twenty-four cities, with the addition of the surrounding districts which encompassed villages and estates as well, during his time as emperor. The territory which he owned would now be considered as modern-day Mauritania and Mali.
