The average of the first 8 numbers is 6. The average of the next 12 is 11. What is the overall average of the 20 numbers?

x / 8 = 6
x = 48

y / 12 = 11
y = 132

Total of the 20 numbers = 48 + 132 = 180
Average of these 20 = 180 / 20
= 9
