12-3=9

You then can add any of the numbers to get 12, which is how they are  related
So we know 3 x 3 = 9 right? Than 12 - 3 = 9 or 12 - 9 = 3!!! They both use the same numbers. Subtraction is the opposite of addition and allows us to check our answers.
