The reciprocal of a number is when you switch the numerator with the denominator (ie; reciprocal of 4/5 is 5/4)
1/2 * 1/4 = 2/8 or 1/4
1/4 or .25 divided by 2 is
.125 or 125/1000

.375 . the reciprocal of 2 is 1/2 and the reciprocal of 4 is 1/2. then you take the average.
