8x + 4y = 16
x + 7y = 15
multiply second equation by (-8)
-8x - 56y = -120
so now
8x + 4y = 16
-8x - 56y = -120
-----------------add
-52y = -104
y = 2
7(2) = 15 - x
14 = 15 - x
x = 1
