Karla is mowing her lawn. She knows 2/5 of the lawn before stopping for a snack. She resumes mowing after her snack and mows another 1/3 of her lawn before stopping. What total fraction of the lawn does Karla mow before lunch?

we add both fractions
2/5+1/3=6/15+5/15=11/15 she mows before lunch
