Let x and y be the two numbers.
x + y = 1
x - y = 0.85

2x = 1.85
x = 0.925

2y + 0.85 = 1
y = 0.075

Let's see if it works:
x + y = 1
0.925 + 0.075 = 1

x - y = 0.85
0.925 - 0.075 = 0.85

So that means:
x = 0.925
y = 0.075
