Well, female mosquitoes lay eggs in water, so technically there are two correct answers here - egg and pupa. Pupas emerge from the egg and live in the water until they grow up and are able to leave it.
The pupas would be the correct answer I believe although the egg does too. But I think you are actually looking for the Pupas.
