4x + y = 8
-2 + 8y = 3

  -2 + 8y = 3
+ 2         + 2
         8y = 5
          8     8
           y = ⁵/₈

 4x + y = 8
4x + ⁵/₈ = 8
      - ⁵/₈ - ⁵/₈
       4x = 7³/₈
        4      4
         x = 1²⁷/₃₂
   (x, y) = (1²⁷/₃₂, ⁵/₈)
